1. CONFIRMATION
On receipt of the booking form and deposit we will send you a confirmation invoice. This is our formal acceptance of the booking for the particular accommodation. Any anomaly must be advised at once. It is understood that the person making the booking will be deemed to act on behalf of all members of the party. Cheques should be made payable to P ARKELL.
2. FINAL PAYMENT
Details for final payment will appear on your invoice, and the balance must be paid in full not later than eight weeks before the first day of the booking. If the balance is not received by us by this time we will be entitled to cancel the booking without prejudice to our claim for cancellation charges, and to retain the deposit. For booking made within eight weeks of departure date, you will be required to pay the full cost of the holiday at the time of booking.
3. CANCELLATION
If you wish to cancel your booking you must telephone us immediately. You must confirm this cancellation in writing, signed by the party leader. Cancellation will take effect on receipt of this written confirmation. We will then send you a cancellation invoice showing details of accommodation cancelled. In all cases of cancellation the deposit will be forfeit. In the case of cancellations after the balance of payment is due the following will apply:
Cancellation Period Before Departure - Cancellation Charges
More than 56 days before departure - Deposit
42-56 days before departure - 50% of total cost
0-41 days before departure - 100% of total cost
4. GUEST RESPONSIBILITY
You agree to let only the people named on the booking form occupy the accommodation. The bringing of pets on to the property is only allowed with our express permission at L'ANCIENNE FERME. No camping is permitted on the property grounds. The accommodation and all its furnishings and effects must be left clean and in good order. You undertake to inform us at LANCIENNE FERME of any missing or damaged items, and of any damage to the property. You undertake to pay LANCIENNE FERME for this damage or these missing items. The owner or his agent may terminate the let immediately if these conditions are breached.
5. SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of £100 is payable to Mr P Arkell at the same time as the final payment. This is to cover the cost of any damage, breakages, loss or cleaning incurred during or after your stay, to the property or its contents. Please note that charges and breakage costs can take time to sort out and the security deposit must be held until this is completed.
6. CHANGE OF BOOKING
Once confirmed by us any change of booking must be made in writing and may incur an alteration fee. If the revised arrangements are at an increased cost, remittance for this increase must be included at the same time.
7. COMPLAINTS
We do our utmost to ensure that the accommodation is satisfactory and enjoyable. The descriptions in our brochure are presented in good faith and we will take all reasonable care to maintain the property in good condition throughout the season. Also we do not accept responsibility for the breakdown of the supply of water, electricity or gas, nor of the swimming pool filtration system. However we will use our best endeavours to arrange for such problems to be resolved. Should you have any reason to complain about the accommodation or its contents, this should be reported to us immediately at LANCIENNE FERME. We will endeavour to solve your problem as quickly as possible.
8. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
We accept responsibility for any loss or damage sustained by you as a direct result of negligence of anyone employed by us, or an agent under our direct control . We do not accept responsibility whatsoever for happenings or actions outside our reasonable control, such as breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing, temporary invasion of pests, acts of insurrection, industrial disputes, floods or other events amounting to force majeure. We have taken the greatest care in the preparation of the information presented to you, and every effort has been made to ensure accuracy. There may be occasions, however, when facilities are not available due to, for example, weather or maintenance reasons.
9. CHANGE OF BOOKING
If your particular accommodation becomes unavailable after it has been confirmed, we will try to find alternative, comparable accommodation. If we are unable to do this, or if you are unable to accept the change, we shall refund your deposit and the balance (if paid). This will be our sole obligation.
l0. ARRIVAL
Accommodation is available from 4.00 pm local time on the first Saturday of the booking, and guests must present themselves between 4.00 pm. and 7.00 pm. for the checking and formalities to be observed. Should late arrival be anticipated please advise us in advance. If you are delayed and unable to arrive by 7.00 pm you should make every endeavour to advise us of your expected arrival time and date. Departure must be by 10 am on the final Saturday.
11. UTILITIES
Gas, electricity and hot and cold water are included in the price; heating if required is included.
12. VISITORS
The accommodation is for the use of those named in the contract only. Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight. The swimming pool is for the use of guests. However depending on usage by guests, visitors may be allowed to use the swimming pool at our discretion.
13. ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING CONDITIONS
In signing the booking form you acknowledge that you have read these conditions and that you accept them without reservation or exception.
